Embracing your goddess also means embracing your wild side. Letting go of societal expectations while allowing yourself to explore and express your true self. Whether it’s through fashion, dance, art, or simply the way you carry yourself, know, you were born to let your inner goddess shine.  

I embraced my wild side through a plant-based lifestyle and became more resilient, gallivanting in the human spirit, with not a worry. I found myself open to exploring the healing powers of food, which led me down a mystical spiritual awakening, meeting people from all walks of life who wanted to become better, physically, mentally, and spiritually through food. I fellowshipped with monks, women living off the land, healers and those who were giving back to the soil, while enjoying the benefits of all the resources Mother Earth provides.   

This experience led me to writing my latest book entitled “Goddess Wild,” where I take my readers on my journey to becoming plant-based. It shares the “raw-truth,” of my experiences while transitioning through my spiritual journey with food. I not only regained my strength but also found the mental clarity and emotional balance to tap into the resources of living a joyous lifestyle. 

I elevated the balance between myself and all the possibilities available, purging, becoming one with the universe after making the decision to save my own life with food. I broke all of my cravings after detoxing for 90 days on onion broth and herbs. I have omitted meat, sugar, alcohol and dairy from my diet. I have no illnesses and don’t take any prescribed medications. I feel so rejuvenated and set free while living a meaningful life, manifesting in gratitude.    

Activating your wild side may be painful. You may have to chop down all those ugly vines growing in your beautiful garden alone. Know that it’s time to let your beauty speak by going deeper, diving more, letting go of that childhood trauma attached to food, making healthier choices, changing your eating habits because we are living in a health crisis and the only way out may be you saving your own life with food.    

Food is not just a source of energy but also a source of healing. A plant-based diet, rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and legumes, can provide the essential nutrients our body needs to fight off diseases, as they can also help with the longevity of those already suffering with chronic illnesses. 

Chile, if this doesn’t make you want to explore implementing a wellness plan of your own, I just don’t know what to say as you have more than enough ammunition to start making changes in your life.   

It’s time you find the strength to fight through all the bad food choices you’ve been holding on to by changing your diet today. Use this new found courage, tap into that human spirit and soar.

Let this be the push you need to start loving you more because you deserve to be living in abundance with a clear-mind. Resurrect that goddess who dwells within, while embracing your wild side.

Women – Some of us Ain’t got no Daddy, some of us ain’t got no mothers, some of us ain’t got enough confidence in ourselves and almost all of us prance around like peacocks in full bloom walking tall like palm trees on boulevards slinging our hair with grace stretching our long legs like everlasting rivers of intuition splashing upon uneven rocks wearing badges of disappointment and grief; yet we still ponder flying low like crows in deserts looking for love in all the wrong spaces in places that will always be too small for our minds because we have never been healed from broken promises yet—we expect a man to be God when we are A Beautiful Mess of colors going outside the lines of a picturesque tale.

Chaotic, we have become not realizing before we can love anything we must focus on all the things we need to discard of our own like old shoes with crocked heels , breakups —not salvageable holding us hostage from healing as we wear crowns full of broken promises yet, we still search for true love with high expectations those that will never be met because we have not cleaned up our own closets housing ugly thoughts as we bring shame upon men not realizing they ain’t God while we throw stones at glass windows we’ve created.   

We must fix up our own houses before we shatter the lives of men, those who will never be strong enough to carry all of our burdens when they too have dusty rooms of their own; some that have never been thoroughly cleaned by their mothers and grandmothers. 

You are beautiful, strong and resilient.  You got your mind.  You got a smile and you got a heart.  Walk beside a man, let him be your strength.  Realize that you have to rid yourself of your own beautiful mess before you can strip a man of his goodness.

QUEENS ON THRONES

Chile, I feel like I have been walking through Jerusalem carrying the cross Jesus was nailed upon as the hot sand tormented my leather flip flops from the realities of this cold world.  But—I am Woman. I was built to endure pain like burnt trees facing an uphill fire on mountain tops where intuition and wisdom dwell like Queens on Thrones, ready to save the universe with wide hips thick like colored rainbows in the midst of storms unprotected by mother nature.

Our power is the only source that can save the world in this state of confusion — we must challenge small minded men with microscopic ideas as we tap into our feminine power acknowledging that we raise Kings and if there’s gonna be a battle it will be with us, we who have conquered a many of combats as we will not allow history to repeat itself for we are the rise of nature and without women, this world will fall to its demise because we are the root to humanity. 

Now, is the time that all women must come down from their thrones to save the universe from men with gavels pounding on soundless tables doing us no good.  Now, is the time that we must all grab our black leggings and congregate at kitchen tables sipping on green tea, cooling our spirits with Christian fans at the speed of hummingbirds, as we march like mothers of churches reaching back to the praying days when women spoke and everyone listened because clearly, the universe is FEMALE!

For it is in the miscalculation of women that men may have forgotten that we are high hanging fruit, untouchable by most.  All we have to do is pray one gigantic prayer and change will erupt as it is across America in this state of emergency against our men.  Women are Gods and the sooner we all realize we must gather like Queens all at once to change the energy of the world as we may loose a few , but those who live on to the tell stories will continue to change the course of things for years to come. 

Let us rise tall wearing our heavy crowns like the benediction has been read aloud across the universe realizing that we are free enough to make a difference.  We are free enough to give the world a glimpse of how powerful we are in numbers.

We are Queens on Thrones. We carry ammunition in our purses. We eat diamonds for breakfast as we are the sparkle of the universe.

We Run The World

Honey, won’t he do it!  Take us from a place of trials to grace where all things are possible. 

If by chance you are still at home waiting on a man like it’s the summer of 1942 to give you anything, God Bless Your Heart-- because you are as lost as a Southern woman trying to hold on to her virginity with a prayer cloth blessed by your grandmother at birth.       

Today, we have become so empowered with ideas and solutions in a society who once violated our freedom in the wake of womanhood.  We have given birth to vagina monologues traced with confidence and brilliance with the stamina of resilient women who marched and screamed to the top of their lungs for equality.   

We are entering board rooms with marching bands embracing our causes, waving flags of no surrender, forming sisterhoods, lifting every voice of bravery because we know we are phenomenal together as we celebrate the strength of all women across the globe who have forcefully opened closed doors, knocking them completely off hinges, breaking barriers, demonstrating women are powerhouses when it comes to change in America. 

We are coming together like Q.U.E.E.N.S., recognizing the magnificence we all bring to the table as there is no reason for any woman to be sitting at home waiting on someone else to spoon feed her a dream.  Honey, dreams are falling out of the sky like morning dew.  Get yourself up early enough to catch something that will ignite your soul even if you have to start your own fire. None of us can be free until we all are and if you haven’t recognized your worth by now, know that vaginas are giving birth to movements making changes.

While this decade has proven that now is still not the time to be silent about equal pay, motherhood, domestic violence and sexual harassment, we have finally made our way through stereotypes collectively as a whole, liberating ourselves through a course set for men to shine, as we can now glorify the uniqueness we possess.  We are running corporations, making political decisions, carrying babies on hips to work, all, while remaining unstoppable with infant steps towards equality.     

Now, let me be the first to say that working with some women will make you tattoo two tear drops on your own face because some of us haven’t realized that we all bring different things to the table when it comes to being creative.  Girl, bury the hatchet, deep down in the ground, burn a candle and keep it moving, so that we can all arrive at the same time and place. 

Maybe you haven’t tapped into your creative power as it’s a long journey to really finding out who you are and what you want, but you can do it!.  I urge each and every woman to take the time to get to know self.  Do only the things you enjoy.  Don’t be afraid to say “NO” as that little word can save your life. If you can’t save your own world, what can you do for America?

Ladies, now is the time for all of us to become legends, using our inner voices, striking the universe with our Black Girl Magic, letting loose of all fears, realizing that we are powerful on any given day throughout the year because all things are possible when you are woman.  

There’s room for all of us to continue what was started decades ago as we should be delighted in friendships that will lead to sisterhoods where strength is magnified in numbers.  If we all followed one another socially, there could be nothing to separate us. 

Let us all join forces in exemplifying the echoes of strong women who have lost lives. Those who have given birth to young queens who will no longer suffer but will march with pride knowing that a woman is one of the strongest human beings on earth.
